CELEBRATING 10 YEARS IN BUSINESS
Wedding Venues in Hampshire - The Great Barn, Titchfield & Titchfield Abbey - wedding photographers hampshire.
The Great Barn in Titchfield (Also known as Titchfield Festival Theatre) is a beautiful treat hidden away. This magnificently preserved, historic venue boasts a stunning setting for your ceremony with its tiered seating, something we have not seen before. Only recently opened up to weddings, the vast building gives you a perfect canvas to put in your own unique touch on your day. Kelly & Adam with the help of their friends decorated the barn themselves and I think you will agree that they did an amazing job!
With so many lovely little details we certainly had our work cut out making sure we didn’t miss anything, from little birds, flip flops for dancing to fleece blankets to keep their guests warm in the evening.
The bride arrived in a lovely vintage car which lent itself well to the historical setting. Inside the tiered seating gave a wonderful view of the ceremony to all of the guests ensuring they didn’t miss a moment. It was also great from a photographic view giving something very different to capture.
After the ceremony we popped down the drive to The Great Barn’s neighbour Titchfield Abbey. With as much history and beauty as the barn it would have been mad not to take the opportunity to take a few shots there. Now just a ruin it had a slightly lonely feeling but as we started to photograph a few rays of sunshine came through the clouds and that coupled with the stunning bride and groom brought the building to life.
A short walk behind The Great Barn leads to several hidden away, beautiful lakes. We really were spoilt for choice for great photo opportunities.
The rest of the day was filled with fun and laughter, even the chilly weather didn’t damp the spirit, however the arrival of the fish and chip van for the evening meal caused some excitement and was a real hit. If anyone reading this is planning a wedding then I really recommend doing this!

Sophie and her new husband Paul held a very intimate and relaxed Wedding ceremony in one of Hampshire’s most lovely towns, Alresford. This was somewhat a very different wedding for us in the fact that her friends and family clubbed together and bought them our services as a surprise for their special day. Originally they were going to just have the photos that the guests had taken but due to one of her close friends having been disappointed with her own wedding photography in the past, she didn’t want Sophie and Paul to feel the same disappointment. So with only two weeks to go, the bride-to-be’s friends revealed the surprise and we finally got to meet her. Meeting our Wedding couples is always a special experience but this time we couldn’t help but get extra excited having been in on ‘the secret’ for a little while.
The ceremony was held in the beautiful St Johns Baptist Churchhttp://www.stjohnsalresford.org.uk/ and after a questionable start with the weather the sun did make an appearance just in time for everyone to arrive and managed to hold until all the photography was finished. We had a very short period for photography here but after a short walk down the street we soon arrived at the reception venue – The Globehttp://www.theglobealresford.com/ . It was so wonderfully decorated and adorned with wedding themed trinkets that it was hardly recognisable as its usual appearance of a country pub.
Its time to let the images do the talking!….
A final thought from the happy couple…
‘Hi Amber and Martin, I just wanted to send you guys a quick message. Thank you so so much for the photos, they're amazing and I was beaming the whole time I was looking at them! I don't know what deal was done but between you guys and Kerry you have given us something we will treasure forever, it meant so much to me what she did. And Kerry was right, I would've have regretted it wholeheartedly! Thanks again for taking such lovely photos and for being fun on the day I've had a couple of people ask what your company is as they saw that we all had great rapport and it was very easy/relaxed on the day. Anyway take care and we'll see you both soon I'm sure xxx’

We recently had the pleasure of shooting a Wedding at a beautiful venue which I must admit has been on our wish list for a little while now.
Warbrook House www.deverevenues.co.uk/en/venues/warbrook-house/ is a traditional Georgian manor house set in beautiful woodland and parkland in a secluded and attractive location on the Hampshire/Berkshire border.
Our lovely bride and groom, Louise and Pete, had some great ideas for their photography and really knew what they wanted. It was a photographers dream with beautiful backdrops, settings and endless possibilities. With a venue so rich in opportunities it was important that our couple gave us plenty of time to fulfil all of their photography wishes, and they certainly did. With 3 hours of time dedicated to the photography between the ceremony and reception we were able to capture some stunning memories. In addition to this, Louise (our bride) gave us an hour for some pre wedding photography of herself, very important for those all important beautiful bride shots.
I will let the images speak for themselves and I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as we enjoyed creating them.
COUNTRY WEDDING VENUES IN HAMPSHIRE | THE LONG BARN, NEWTON VALENCE. HAMPSHIRE - wedding photographers hampshire.
We have just started to work with a lovely local Wedding venue, which is almost on our doorstep. The Long Barn www.the-long-barn.co.uk really is set in the heart of the Hampshire countryside, nestled away in a beautiful location in Newton Valence.
After our first meeting with managers Kelvin and Rachael, who so warmly welcomed us, we went back last weekend to take some professional images for them to use in their advertising and website.
Viewed from the outside you can see where the lovingly restored building has developed its name from. Stepping inside you are met with the vast scale of the venue with its high roof and beautiful original beams.Turning around to face the bar and dining area you are met with the venues unique feature split level floor.
The gentle lighting in the barn softly highlights the beams with subtle light and warmth and candles throughout enhance the romantic feel of this charming building
and there is plenty of room for large celebrations.
When you look through the slideshow below I think you will all agree, that this really is a stunning venue. What you can't see from these images is the beautiful views surrounding it, but that is something that i will leave you to discover for yourself! Martin and I are looking forward to working with this venue more and i hope to bring you another blog from a Wedding or event here very soon.
We also had the pleasure of meeting two lovely and cheerful ladies from The Blacksmiths Daughter Florists www.theblacksmithsdaughter.co.uk. Despite the chilly conditions, for the duration that we were at the venue the ladies never lost the smile from their faces and were genuinely a pleasure to work with. I think you will agree with me that their table pieces are truly stunning. The floral displays included figs, aubergines and grapes, carefully placed in amongst the beautiful flowers and foliage.
If you would like more information on the venue or booking for an event, please contact Kelvin or Rachael by email at firstname.lastname@example.org who will be delighted to hear from you.
