Frequently asked Questions.
Why hire a professional photographer for my Wedding?
Firstly, we know how to use our cameras, we have the experience of taking photos in different light, different conditions, composing different shots and executing it perfectly. The camera doesn’t do this, the photographer does this and we have developed our skills and knowledge through years of experience and many hours of shooting. When you choose a professional, you get consistency, not one or two stunning photos, but a whole albums worth.
We have years of experience capturing weddings, we know the shots to take, we know where to be at the right time, you can leave us to get on with our job in full confidence knowing we will be where you want us to be. We will also anticipate what will happen next, we know the flow of the day, we will have already found the perfect place for those romantic bride and groom shots, we will know the ideal locations with the perfect back drop, and we keep our side of the proceedings running on time so you can enjoy your special day. Your wedding day isn’t a photo shoot, it is a real event with only one chance to capture those moments.
Weddings have both posed moments as well as action shots. You may have asked for some group photos and posed shots, you want to feel at ease and a professional will be able to make you and your guests feel comfortable and natural, these moments are part of your wedding day, so they should be fun and enjoyable. This skill is something that comes from experience and having trust in us.
If something goes wrong we have a backup plan. The worst case scenario is you have no photos of your big day! As professional photographers we have a plan B, for a start there are two of us and we have reliable contacts whom we can call upon should we need to. An amateur may not have a plan B and may not be able to afford to back up everything up.
This is your wedding day, you only have one chance to capture it, so make sure you trust and have confidence in your photographer.
At the end of your Wedding day, all that remains are the photos. Timeless memories which you can show to all of your friends and family, your children and grandchildren. Make sure these are great memories and not just a book that reminds you how you wish you spent a bit more and hired a professional.

How do we book?
First, you need to check if we are available on your date. You can do this by email using the contact form. After this we can arrange a zoom call to discuss your wedding requirements. There is no charge for this consultation. Should you wish to book, just complete our booking form and return it with a £300 booking fee.
What is the advantage of having a second photographer?
A second photographer adds additional coverage of your wedding – no matter how good a professional photographer is on their own – they simply can’t be in all places at one time. Whilst Amber is shooting your groups and portraits, your guests are unattended and having fun, with two photographers we can make sure these great moments are captured. One of my carefully selected team of second shooters will have a different style of Photography so in addition to capturing all the informal groups and shots from another angle, you are getting a whole other style of images giving you a huge range of wonderful memories from your special day.
Can we meet the second photographer?
I have a team of three carefully selected second photographers who work with me throughout the year. Due to their own commitments it may not be possible for them to meet you prior to the Wedding day. Where it may be possible, an additional meeting would be charged at £100 to cover their time and expenses.
do you offer a venue visit prior to the wedding?
Having photographed Weddings professionally as a main career for many years, I am used to researching a venue that I haven't visited before. This comes into its own when I have travelled abroad for destination weddings and a prior visit isn't available. I am happy to attend your venue to discuss your ideas but there will be a charge of £150 for this to cover my time. Please note there will be an additional charge of £1 per mile for locations over a 30 mile radius from Petersfield.
Are there travel costs?
Travel is included where the wedding is held within a 30 mile radius of Petersfield, Hampshire. We cover weddings throughout the United Kingdom and will travel further afield to other countries*. If you are interested in hiring us to shoot in another country for you please use the Wedding contact form for more details.
*Due to current travel restrictions, this is currently unavailable until 2024.

How long will you be at my Wedding for?
We will arrive at your wedding no earlier than two hours prior to your ceremony time and will stay at your Wedding until typically a few dances following the first dance. If we are required for longer then I would recommend booking the Ultimate package which includes this.
How long will it be before i see my Wedding Images?
Within 4 weeks of your Wedding date, your images will be carefully hand edited by myself and uploaded to your online gallery. I do this myself and take great pride in my work. We will contact you when they are ready to view and download.
How does the Album design process work?
After you have viewed and picked your images, we personally design the album layout, to ensure that it accurately reflects the events of your special day. We will then ask you to proof the preview album and. once you are happy with the design, we will send it to be printed. This process takes about four to five weeks.
what is your cancellation PROCEDURE?
Cancellation of the Photographers service by the client for any reason, should be notified in writing via email to the Photographer. There is no cancellation fee however, the client understands that the booking fee is non-refundable and will not seek otherwise.
