We all know just how much I love a proposal capture, so you can imagine how excited I was when I was contacted by Ben to capture this special moment with his girlfriend Charlotte. Being local, I had a few ideas for some stunning locations of where we could do this. Being December, we had to look at places that would still make beautiful backdrops during winter. The chosen spot was on Old Winchester Hill near Petersfield, Its breathtaking countryside views made it the perfect place. I met up with Ben on location prior to the proposal date so we could find 'the spot' and plan exactly where to be. Being December we didn't have any other passers by to work or plan around although it did make me less undercover! The big day arrived and the weather wasn't as ideal as we had hoped but it wasn't tipping down and the fine mist in the air added a lovely atmospheric feel to the photos. Step inside this wonderful proposal with me in the photos below.. If you would like to capture your proposal on camera, you can find package and booking details here.

MARTIN AND I WERE BOTH HONORED AND PROUD TO BE A PART OF SOMETHING VERY SPECIAL LAST WEEKEND... We had the greatest honour in being asked to photograph a surprise proposal at JANE AUSTEN'S HOUSE just a short drive down the road into Chawton. We were contacted a few weeks back by a lovely guy who was planning to bring his lifelong partner to England from Italy to propose to her at her favorite author, Jane Austen's house, and he wanted it all captured on camera! Sworn to secrecy, we planned the day together down to the finest details. We haven't captured a real moment proposal before, so i was beside myself with excitement. The day arrived and the weather was absolutely perfect. The flowers in the gardens were in bloom and looked incredible, all adding to an amazing backdrop to this wonderful moment. The happy couple - Justin and Amy - arrived, with the lucky lady totally unaware at what was about to happen. Under a rouse that we were photographing people for the museum, the happy couple posed in front of us and as she turned around to take in the house, her fiance-to-be dropped down on one knee, as she turned back to look at him, the realization of what was happening dawned upon her. In a mixture of laughter, tears and disbelief... SHE SAID YES!!!!!!! It was a beautiful and incredible moment to witness. If i wasn't concentrating so hard on photographing then i probably would have shed a tear myself! After a quiet moment together and time to compose themselves, we photographed a series of images of the now very happy couple to mark the occasion. With Amy being such a huge Jane Austen fan I knew some shots in the garden's were a must. As an extra surprise i had also arranged to take them to Chawton House Library for some shots where they could be on their own with no one else around. HERE ARE A FEW MORE SHOTS TO TELL THE STORY OF THEIR DAY.... To be a part of such a momentous occasion in two peoples lives and to be able to be a part of moments like these is priceless, seeing such love and happiness between two people is just beyond words. This was a wonderful day and i will never forget it.
